It’s time for you to go
But I didn’t want a paradigm shift.
Paradigm shifts, especially internal ones, are too destructive and too scary. Too out of control, uncertain, and unpredictable. They screw up everything. It wouldn’t just change what I think about, but how I think.
We perpetually act out of fear or love. At the core of every decision, the balance beam is skewed toward one or the other; we just aren’t always conscious of it.
Acting from your truest self in difficult situations, for this is the directive of a fulfilled, meaningful life. That is existential courage. Life is continuously changing, and it’s fuckin stressful, but we must always be courageous in our actions. This is love at it’s finest.
“Progress is impossible without change and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
With change comes the imminent unknown. Fear of the unknown is exciting and inspiring for some, but for many, it’s enough to live a life of mediocrity at best, unhappiness at worst.
Feel the fear of change. Grab it by the balls. Start living the life you were meant to.
